Privacy Policy

Fairgather is an event RSVP and guest-management service operated by Codesence (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: hello@fairgather.com.
Who is responsible for your data
Event hosts (the schools, churches, nonprofits, and teams who publish events) decide what their event collects and are the controllers of their guest lists. Fairgather processes guest information on the host's behalf to run the event — and is the controller for organizer accounts and for this website.
What we collect
- Guest RSVP data — the name, reply, and any answers a guest submits on an event page, plus an email address if provided (used for the guest's own confirmation) and an optional mobile number if the guest opts in to text updates.
- Organizer account data — name, email, and sign-in credentials for hosts who create events.
- Payment data — payments for tickets and donations are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers.
- Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used for security and abuse prevention. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
SMS / Text Messaging
Guests may optionally enter a mobile number and check an unchecked-by-default box on an event's RSVP form to receive text updates about that event — an RSVP confirmation, reminders, host updates, and waitlist notices. Consent is not required to RSVP or to attend, and a phone number alone is never treated as consent.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also opt out any time by emailing hello@fairgather.com. Message frequency varies by event; message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that run Fairgather: Google Firebase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), and — when messaging features are enabled — Resend (email delivery) and Twilio (text delivery). Each processes data solely to provide the service. Your event's host can see the RSVP information guests submit to their event. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Guest data is retained while its event remains active and is removed by scheduled cleanup afterward. Hosts can remove a guest from their event at any time. To ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information, email hello@fairgather.com— we'll respond within 30 days.
